There are a lot of spiritualist who like to do readings before they do any kind of work. They want to make sure that the person they’re working with is not crazy. However, I don’t do readings. I feel that the people who come to me to get love work done are already crazy. The magic question for me is, are they so far gone that I can’t helped them. For example, I know that I can’t help anyone who suffers from delusions and obsessions. I can however, help the people who need a little bit of tenderness, love, and healing. In this article, I am going to explain to you how love obsessions work. How to know if you’re in love, or just addicted to that special someone. And how you can break the addiction or obsession by using magical healing stones.

What is obsessive love?

One word, addictions. One name, Norman Bates. Norman Bates is the fictional character in the classic movie, Psycho. Everyone knows that Norman Bates was crazy. However, very few people understand that he was also an addict, that never got his fix. In my other article, How to overcome an addiction, I talked about how alcohol and drugs were spirits that worked to change the proteins, and thus the DNA structure in our bodies’ composition. So, when someone gets drunk or high, they are actually being controlled by the spirit. In more severe cases, where a person is totally inebriated, the spirit has taken total control of the body. In African derived religions and practices they call this process a demonic spirit possession. However, addictions don’t start or end with alcohol and drugs. You can become addicted to thoughts, you can become addicted to emotions, and yes, you can become addicted to people.

The making of a love disorder

What is a love disorder? A love disorder involves someone who is obsessed and are addicted to certain kinds of emotions. The weird thing about the mind, is that it can’t tell the difference between an experience that is real, from one that is imagined. What does this mean? It means that your body responds when you think loving thoughts about that special someone. In fact, the more you think about him, the more your body responds by emitting all kinds of feel good hormones. Hormones such as dopamine, vasopressin, and serotonin are all released throughout your blood stream, resulting in a euphoric high. After a while, your body starts to get addicted to these hormones. Then, you have to keep fueling the flames by thinking the same thoughts, that are going to produce the same hormones that produces the same high. There is just one problem with this way of thinking, reality. Reality hits you when you realize that your love is not being reciprocated. Reality hits you when you realize that you’re no longer his love interest, but now you’re his stalker. Your mind can’t handle this, after all, it needs its fix. So, what happens? You go psycho!

Overcoming obsessive thoughts

This is the reason why the movie Psycho was such a huge hit. It had a profound premise that resonated with us. No, I don’t know any middle-aged men who dresses in his mother’s clothing, or wears her ratty wig for that matter. However, I do know a lot of men who have lost themselves. They are enthralled in a fantasy, and loving a woman that he could never have. In fact, Norman Bates was a character based on the amalgamation of the creepy, freaky, pitiful, and pathetic men who are obsessed over women, that they could never be with. Then, when the reality hits him and he actually finds out that he’s a pathetic loser. He loses it. Why does he go crazy? He goes crazy because the illusions were the only thing that was keeping him afloat. Without the fantasy, there’s no high, without the high, there’s nothing there to numb the pain. Now, we all know that people can’t handle a substantial amount of pain. So, what do they do? They lash out, in a piteous attempt to release all the bottled-up pain and anger that is teeming inside of them.

How to beat an emotional addiction?

The first thing that we need to understand is that healing and magic is a process. When dealing with any type of mental or personality disorders, we must first understand the problem, a split mind. Virtually all types of healing modalities involve restructuring and re-wiring the mind. This is a process that can be a very long and painful one, especially if someone is detoxing from either an addiction or love obsession. However, here are a few quick tips that will help you overcome your love addiction.

  1. Surrender: the number one rule to overcoming a love addiction is to let go. You can start by understanding that the emotions that you feel, are inside of you. You have made the mistake of attaching them to someone else.
  2. Start to ground yourself. Stay in tune with reality and what is real. You can start by working on your base chakra. You can also work with a black tourmaline stone to help you regain your footing in the physical world.
  3. Call out to your spirit guides and ancestors. Love is a highest vibration known to man. It is abundant and plentiful, so no-one should have to go without. Your ancestors and spirit guides will give you the love that you need to heal. This will allow you to get through the tough detoxification stage.
  4. When you start detoxing, you might feel a great deal of anger and resentment toward the other person. You can minimize this anger by creating some anger be gone oil:

½ chamomile

¼ violet

¼ sandalwood

add to your bath or dab a few drops on your skin. Please be sure to consult with your doctor before ingesting herbs and oils against your skin.

  1. You can also use a blue agate stone to minimize anger. You can do this by placing the blue agate stone on your throat chakra.
